For the first entry I want to promote other blogs. Anne R. Allen's writing blog is first rate and very helpful. Right now Anne is going through a little health challenge (as reported on her Facebook page) and a wish for good luck and good health might be appreciated. But if that's not your style, enjoy the blog anyway right here: http://annerallen.blogspot.com/
C. Hope Clark' Funds for Writers newsletter (free) and her Total Funds for Writers newsletter ($15/yr.) each has a short blog about writing. Plus, the primary reason for FFW is to list grants, writing jobs, and magazines or publishers accepting submissions. Hope also manages to make plenty of appearances at writers' conferences (she's in great demand) and if you get the chance to attend a session when she's speaking, you'll find it worthwhile. I did.
Writing World is another source of information for writers. There are usually two how-to articles in each newsletter. It is also an excellent source for contests and other publishing opportunities.
The on-line magazine Page and Spine publishes new material every Friday. One of their features is The Writers Table. This always contains short observations and advice about writing. The last Friday of every month I offer a review of all the stories P&S published that month, and I try very hard to point out the good and bad, and include why it's good or bad.
Here's a link to find more blogs about writing or for writers: http://robertleebrewer.blogspot.com/2012/02/best-blogs-for-writers-to-read-in-2012.html it's from 2012, but still should be worthwhile.
