I had thought that it might be the end of February before I finished this task, but I was not required to work anywhere near the number of hours I expected during the Christmas season and I had more time to work on it.
Now I can return to Saving Atlantis and maybe get started on one or both of the short stories that have clamoring for attention. Plus devoting more time to this blog and the Mascot Serial.
My wife and I did get that vacation in Colorado. And it was one of the best Christmases we've had in decades. I wanted specifically to visit with my aunts, uncle, and cousins I haven't seen in nine years. Did that. Also, our two daughters drove to Denver from Salt Lake City with their kids (three each) and we had all the family except the oldest grandchild all together on Christmas. It was great! The only disappointing thing was watching the Broncos get clobbered by the KC Chiefs.
We also visited some old and very long-time friends not seen in years. And my in-laws also claimed an afternoon, though we had hoped for more.
One more thing: One of those excellent people that keeps up with those blog used the contact page to tell me so. Thanks, M.A! I wish more of you would do that, plus include any suggestions, requests, critiques, or compliments (compliments are always especially welcome) you may have.
One of the especially brilliant people who read Witchery wanted to post a complimentary review on Amazon. He was told he couldn't because he hasn't purchased $50 worth of stuff on Amazon. WTF??
Amazon again is screwing authors whose books are sold on their site for a short-term gain. Good reviews, no matter who posts them, lead to more sales which benefit Amazon and the author. It's too bad that Amazon is so close to an exclusive place to purchase e-books and print-on-demand paperbacks.
I'm going to mention this b.s. to Double Dragon Publishing, publisher of Witchery and Prophecy of Honor. Maybe something can be done.
If any of you has read any of my novels, I would really appreciate it if you could post a review on Amazon.
Thank you all for reading, and keep it up!
